My name is Joy and I have been writing short stories for the past 20 years. It all started as a bit of a hobby, but soon became something far more important to me.
I am retired, and have been for many years. I also enjoy playing bowls and playing card games like solo and euchre.
I was born in London and was just starting school when WW2 broke out. I was evacuated to Northampton during the war, and I lived with a lovely family who not only took good care of me, but also billeted soldiers from time to time.
In my early 20’s, I immigrated to Australia. I now live on the sunny Gold Coast which is in Queensland, Australia.
As you read my short stories, you will see that many of them are reflections of my attitudes and beliefs, and some of the others are a glimpse of my memories of my past. Some, of course, are just total fiction.
Some of my short stories you might be able to relate to, and they might rekindle some of your distant memories, which I hope you find a blessing.
